Installation of Wing Spar Boxes
Shown below are the two assembled wing spar box sandwiches that glue into the fuselage center section. I made some dummy spar stubs to provide the correct alignment when gluing the boxes into the fuselage structure. The front spar box is shown at the bottom and the aft spar box is shown at the top.
The picture below shows the four dummy spar stubs
inserted into the spar boxes.
The spar boxes were positioned up in the fuselage
structure and the dummy spar stubs were inserted into the ends of the boxes
to achieve the correct positions. Then they were glued in place as shown
below.
Once dry, the dummy spar stubs were removed
leaving the spar boxes correctly installed as shown
